The Ministry of Interior announced, on Tuesday, that it had managed to seize a den for recycling and smuggling oil derivatives in Anbar.
The ministry said in a statement, a copy of which the information was received, that "the detachments of the Energy Police Directorate represented by the second brigade and the Committee for the removal of Unofficial Stations of the Oil Products Distribution Company - Anbar Branch carried out a duty during which they were able to seize a den for smuggling oil derivatives.
She added, "The operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of iron and plastic tanks of various capacities filled with oil products of unknown quality, as well as motors for pulling and unloading and hoses of various sizes."
And she explained, "The accused was placed under arrest, and all the seized items were confiscated in preparation for completing the legal procedures and presenting them to the competent investigating judge according to Law No. 41 of 2008 on combating smuggling of oil and its derivatives." .” End25
