The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities are taking measures to terminate the contract with the investment agency executing the Al-Amriyah Residential Complex project.
The director of the Housing Department in the Ministry, Sadiq Al-Fartousi, told Al-Sabah: The mechanism for implementing the complex project was carried out in a discreet manner by the investment company, and caused great problems for citizens for nearly 10 years, which prompted the department to go to terminate the contract with the investor executing the project.
He pointed out that work is underway with legal procedures to settle the project, while taking care to reserve the right of the registrants who claim the housing units they previously registered for, for the purpose of resuming work on it again with a new company, according to a precise mechanism that preserves their rights and ends the long pause in its completion.
He explained that the Nasiriyah residential complex project faced the same problem, as discussions are under way to find the necessary solutions, either by ending the contractual procedures with the company and choosing another solid company to implement the project, or finding another formula to guarantee the rights of the citizens registered with it.
