Today, Sunday, the Civil Defense Directorate clarified the details of the collapse of a building under construction in Baghdad.
The directorate said in a statement, "The civil defense teams succeeded in rescuing eight workers who were trapped under the rubble of concrete blocks and reinforcing bars after a mold collapsed during the implementation of construction operations for the (Masuag) mall under construction near Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad."
And she explained, "The specialized teams, upon their arrival, began to remove the rubble of iron, wood and concrete, and were able to remove all the workers alive while securing their transfer to the nearby hospital to receive the necessary treatment."
She pointed out, "An investigation has been opened at the police station responsible for the geographical area, and a forensic expert has been summoned to determine the causes of the collapse."
