The Ministry of Electricity revealed efforts to raise the production capacity to 24,000 megawatts during peak consumption in the summer.
He pointed out that the maintenance program this time included the addition of cooling units to the production units through contracting with the company (Siemens), as it contributes to reducing the temperature surrounding these units by four to five degrees, which provides higher productivity and greater stability, indicating that this process will add 720 megawatts. for production capacity. As for the problems that the ministry faces, the Minister of Electricity noted that the most important of them is the problem of gas to operate the electric stations, the evasion of consumers from collection and the lack of rationalization of consumption, indicating that there is a possibility to address this by heading to the production of electricity from solar energy, and working on the use of the electronic meter for for collection.
