The Iraqi Trade Bank announced, today, Tuesday, that the amounts withheld from loans for the month of April will be returned to employee accounts.
The bank's media advisor, Aqil Al-Shuwaili, said in a statement, "In implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani and the Central Bank of Iraq, to stop deducting employee loans on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the deduction of loan installments for the current month of April 2023 has been stopped."
And he continued, "The bank proceeded to cancel the deduction of the amounts of the current April payments that were deducted at the beginning of the month automatically through the electronic banking system, and return the amounts to the accounts of the borrowing employees."
