    Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: Today, Wednesday, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, chaired a meeting of the Crisis and Disaster Management Room.
    A statement by the Security Media Cell stated, “A number of issues on the agenda of the meeting were discussed, as the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations stressed the need for permanent communication and participation in attending meetings by the authorities concerned with this file, which are the ministries of defense, interior, oil, health, environment, agriculture, housing, and construction.” Migration and Displacement, Finance, Electricity, the Popular Mobilization Authority, the National Operations Center and NATO.
    And he stressed, “These parties should work with a future vision and prior planning, and that we have a vision and a prior diagnosis of the crisis, so that this avoids many obstacles,” indicating “the need to come up with proposals and recommendations to be submitted to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces for approval and implementation.”
    And Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi emphasized “protecting electrical networks and power towers, preserving water reserves and preventing waste therein, preserving the environment and combating everything that would tamper with it, directing work to develop educational awareness programs in these areas,” noting that “the purpose Part of this meeting is to work on managing crises and disasters and how to deal with them before they escalate.
    The meeting came out with “a set of recommendations that included proposals related to amending the National Safety Law and working to support the law of modern irrigation techniques, allocating funds to purchase water treatment plants, and holding workshops in the leadership of joint operations in harmony according to realistic hypotheses, the most important expected crises and advance planning to address them and reduce their repercussions and effects.” .
