The Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee confirmed, on Thursday, that the supply of electricity in most regions of Iraq will be 16 hours per day during the current summer.
Committee member Fatima Al-Muhammadawi said in a press interview seen by Taqaddam, that “the Ministry of Electricity is one of the ramified ministries and is linked to several other ministries, and it needs understandings.”
She explained that “the success of the Ministry of Electricity depends on the success of the Ministry of Oil through the provision of fuel, noting that the supply of electricity in most of the governorates of Iraq will be for 16 hours per day during the current summer,” stressing that “the supply of electricity for 24 hours until the completion of all projects related to electric power.”
