A member of the Oil and Energy Committee, Bassem Al-Gharibawi, revealed today, Monday, that there is a parliamentary division regarding passing the budget for one year or for several years.

"The Parliamentary Finance Committee continues to host specialists to make amendments to the draft budget for the current year 2023," Al-Gharibawi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency.
He added, "The political forces are unanimous on the need to reduce the volume of spending and the deficit in the budget," noting that "operating expenditures will be significantly reduced while leaving the ruling expenditures."
Al-Gharibawi indicated, "The salary scale law will be passed if it is received from the government at a time when parliament is divided over passing the budget for several years or one year."
The deficit rate amounted to 63.275 trillion dinars, with the adoption of a price of $ 70 per barrel of oil, given that more than 95 percent of budget revenues depend on oil sales. End / 25 s
