    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani called on the private sector to enter and work in the industrial field, while pointing to the need to define Iraq's industrial identity.
Al-Sudani said in a speech during the launch of the activities of the Mineral, Petrochemical, Fertilizers and Cement Investment Conference, today and its follow-up (Baghdad Today), that "the Mineral Investment Conference is qualitative and is held for the first time in Iraq," noting that "work must be done to develop this sector through the minerals that Iraq owns." .
The Prime Minister pointed out that "there are opportunities offered for investment in the industrial sector, which must be activated in the interest of the country."
Al-Sudani explained that "the investment law and its amendments are the best among the countries in the region," stressing that "investors should not be burdened with the workforce, and work will be done to achieve a balance between the public and private sectors in terms of the distribution of workers."
He continued by saying that "providing guarantees and facilities for the private sector is a priority for the government to absorb unemployment," noting that "Iraq is capable of producing a national industry comparable to what is produced in Arab countries."
