The US Energy Information Administration announced, on Sunday, that US oil imports decreased from Arab countries, including Iraq, while its imports from American countries increased.
The administration said, "The average US imports of crude oil during the past week from eight major countries amounted to 5.572 million barrels per day, down by 444 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which amounted to 6.016 million barrels per day."
And she added, "Iraq's oil exports to America amounted to an average of 102 thousand barrels per day last week, decreasing by 150 thousand barrels as a daily average from the previous week, in which oil exports to America reached an average of 252 thousand barrels per day."
She pointed out that "most of America's oil revenues during the past week came from Canada at a rate of 3.570 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico at an average of 808 thousand barrels per day, and oil revenues from Brazil amounted to an average of 391 thousand barrels per day, and then Nigeria at a rate of 204 thousand barrels per day."
According to the administration, “the amount of US imports of crude oil from Ecuador amounted to an average of 203 thousand barrels per day, and from Colombia at a rate of 148 thousand barrels per day, while revenues from Saudi Arabia decreased to an average of 146 thousand barrels per day, while it did not import any quantity from Libya or Russia.” ".
