    US imports of crude oil increased last August, due to oil revenues from Iraq and Latin American countries.
    According to an OPEC report, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, “US oil imports jumped to the highest level in four years last August.”
    The OPEC report explained, “The world’s largest economy (America) imported an average of 6.9 million barrels per day last month, most of which came from Iraq and Latin American countries.”
    He added, "According to the latest monthly data issued by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), Canada remained the largest supplier of crude oil in June with a share of 58%, and Mexico ranked second with 13%, followed by Saudi Arabia third with 6% and Iraq 4%." ".
    Based on Kpler data, US crude imports in August jumped by half a million barrels over the same month last year, representing an 8% increase on an annual basis, and those imports also witnessed an increase on an annual basis. Monthly for July 2023 at a rate of 300 thousand barrels per day.
