The Iraq Stock Exchange announced the circulation of 22 billion shares during the month of June, with a trading value of 32 billion dinars, as shares of 69 joint-stock companies were traded.
The Executive Director of the Iraqi Stock Exchange, Taha Ahmed Abdel-Salam, told "Al-Sabah": "The market issued a report last June, which included the reality of trading shares of local companies and the volume of foreign investments in the market."
He added that "the value of shares traded for the month of June amounted to more than (32) billion dinars, of which 25 billion dinars were on the regular platform, 6 billion dinars on the second platform, and 468 million dinars on the third platform," noting that "the companies whose shares are traded in the market amounted to Their number is 69 joint-stock companies, especially since the number of listed joint-stock companies is 102 Iraqi joint-stock companies, and the shares of (33) joint-stock companies have not been traded in due to the difference in supply and demand prices. There are also companies suspended from trading by a decision of the Securities Commission and their number is (3) companies Input".
He pointed out that "the number of contracts executed during the month of June through transactions that took place reached (11946) transactions, including (10072) transactions within the regular platform, (1714) transactions within the second platform and (160) transactions within the third platform. As for the indicators of the online platform for investors, IRAKA OMS- For the month of June 2023, Abdel Salam stated that "the number of executed contracts reached (324) contracts, i.e. (172) purchase contracts and (152) sale contracts, while the number of traded shares amounted to (296) million shares, i.e. (174) million buying shares and ( 122) million selling shares, while the value of traded shares amounted to (848) million dinars, with (303) million dinars buying and (455) million dinars selling
. One billion dinars through the implementation of 555 contracts on the shares of 10 companies, while the number of shares sold by foreigners reached 1.6 billion shares, with a value of more than 4.6 billion dinars, through the implementation of 322 contracts on the shares of 13 companies.
And he pointed out that “the Securities Commission decided to stop trading in the shares of the Petroleum Products Transport Company, and it also approved, based on the amendment, extending the period for submitting financial statements for the fiscal year 2022 and granting an additional year to shareholders of listed companies to trade their shares in the Iraq Stock Exchange, provided that the company continues to follow up with The Office of Financial Supervision to complete the audit procedures and issue the final financial statements before the end of the period.
