Oil expert Hamza Al-Jawahiry considered, on Wednesday, the decision of the Sudanese government to barter the Iranian side to pay its financial dues for black oil, a correct decision and a legal way out to solve the crisis away from the US sanctions.

Al-Jawahiri said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "The Iraqi government's agreement with the Iranian side to pay its gas financial liabilities by exchanging black oil is correct and a legal way out to solve the crisis away from the US sanctions."
He added, "Iraq has abundant production of black oil and can obtain more quantities of Iranian gas to use it in the production of electric power."
He pointed out that "the prices of black oil are fixed in the Gulf oil market, where one ton ranges between 400 to 450 dollars, and that Iraq produces very large quantities of black oil, and instead of marketing it to the Gulf, it is bartered for Iranian gas used in the production of electric power.”
Al-Jawahiry pointed out that "the value of Iranian gas is certainly subject to the price equation for oil in the international market, and therefore calculating the value of gas with black oil will be easy."
He noted that "there is another proposal, which is for Iraq to buy goods and commodities that the Islamic Republic needs without interest and evaluate their prices as an alternative to the sums of Iranian gas arriving in Iraq."
Yesterday evening, Tuesday, the Sudanese Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a, announced the end of the gas supply crisis that operates the electric power stations, after a bilateral agreement with Iran. End / 25 m
