    Shafaq News/ A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki announced, on Tuesday, that dozens of parliamentarians submitted a proposal to amend the country's anti-"prostitution" law, which includes combating adultery, homosexuality and the exchange of wives.




    Al-Maliki said during a press conference held in the parliament building, which was attended by the Shafaq News agency reporter, "We submitted the proposal of the first amendment law to the anti-prostitution law to the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, which included the agreement of more than 100 members of the parliament," adding, "We have obtained the approval of the Speaker of Parliament." It was referred to the Parliamentary Legal Committee.
    He added that the proposed anti-prostitution law is intended to be the practice of adultery or homosexuality and through homosexual relations, homosexuality, imitation of women and the exchange of wives.
    Al-Maliki continued by saying that Article 4 of the law stipulates imprisonment and a fine of no more than 5 million dinars, and whoever is found to have practiced homosexuality or exchange wives shall be punished with life imprisonment or death.
