Shafaq News/ The number of Iraqi tourists to Turkey has reached more than one million and 200 thousand tourists in the year 2022, according to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism said in a table seen by Shafaq News Agency that "the number of Iraqi tourists to Turkey in the year 2022 amounted to 1,208,859 million tourists," noting that "Iraqi tourists arrived in various ways, including by planes with 500,955 tourists, highways with 656,989 tourists, by trains with 915 tourists, and by sea and trains with 36 tourists.
She pointed out that "the percentage of Iraqis among the world's tourists to Turkey for the year 2022 amounted to 2.71%."
The ministry's statistics indicated that "Iraq came at the forefront of the Arab countries in the number of tourists in the Asian region (except for Syria, because there are no statistics for it), and Saudi Arabia comes after it with 497,914 tourists, followed by Jordan with 494,629 tourists, and Kuwait comes after it with 480,123 tourists."
