    Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed that the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee hosted the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Foreign Relations, Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr Al-Uloum, to discuss the demarcation of the borders between Iraq and Kuwait.

    Al-Sahhaf said in a press statement, “The Foreign Relations Committee, headed by Representative Dylan Ghafoor Saleh, and in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, members of the committee and a number of members of other committees, Hosted by Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr al-Ulum, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for bilateral relations, accompanied by the head of the Organizations Department, Abbas Kazem.And the head of the legal department, Hamid al-Jubouri, and the official spokesperson For the ministry, Ahmed al-Sahhaf, to discuss the issue of border demarcation between Iraq and Kuwait.

    He explained that "during the hosting, the most important international resolutions and relevant reports in this regard were presented, and the Undersecretary explained the most important pillars of Iraqi diplomacy's movement regarding the consecration of Iraq's sovereignty in view of the stipulated legal references."

    He continued, "The hosting also included standing on the most important events and developments in the issue of border demarcation and clarifying the truth of what has been rumored in the media recently regarding the land borders, especially the Umm Qasr region, as the Ministry's commitment to the governmental vision, which reflects the will of the Iraqi state, and puts national interests in the circle of priorities as a path, not an option, based on international decisions in this regard.[/rtl]
