The Russian Embassy in Washington confirmed that the US administration, after it decided to supply the Kiev regime with depleted uranium missiles, would pave the way for entire generations.
The embassy said in a statement: "The administration's decision to provide Kiev with depleted uranium shells is an indication of inhumanity. It is clear that Washington, obsessed with the idea of inflicting a 'strategic defeat' on Russia, is ready to fight not only until the last Ukrainian, but also destroy entire generations."
According to the diplomatic mission, "the United States deliberately transports weapons with indiscriminate effects," and the embassy indicated that the United States is well aware of the dangers of this type of ammunition.
The embassy recalled the consequences of using such shells in Iraq and the Balkans, and said: "As a result of the explosion of the ammunition, a mobile radioactive cloud is formed. Small uranium particles settle in the respiratory tract, lungs, and esophagus, and accumulate in the kidneys and liver, causing malignant tumors and inhibiting all body functions."
The statement added: "By providing the Ukrainian authorities with these military products, the United States is engaging in self-deception, refusing to accept the failure of the so-called counterattack by Ukrainian forces. The course of the special operation will not change, and the Russian military will continue grinding weapons provided to the Zelensky regime."
According to the embassy, Washington's actions "reveal its true face, as it is completely indifferent to Ukraine's present, the future of the republic and its European neighbors."
And the US Department of Defense announced on Wednesday evening that the United States will send depleted uranium missiles to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package worth $ 175 million.
According to a press release, the announced shipments from US military warehouses included 120 mm "Abrams" tank shells containing depleted uranium.
The United States became the second country, after Britain, to announce the transfer of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine, and in March of this year, British Deputy Defense Minister Annabel Goldie announced plans to supply Kiev with such ammunition, and it was made clear that it was intended for the "Challenger 2" tanks.
