    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani opened today, Sunday, September 17, 2023, the 24th Baghdad International Book Fair, while confirming that the government will provide interest-free loans to support publishing houses.

    Al-Sudani said in a press conference attended by Al-Sumaria’s correspondent during the opening of the exhibition, “The government will remain supportive of cultural affairs and we need books because of the challenges facing reading,” noting that “interest-free loans will be launched to support publishing houses and major intellectual exhibitions in Iraq, out of our belief.” The importance of cultural events.



    He added, "The book has been linked throughout history to Baghdad, and today it prints, writes, and reads," stressing "the government's support for culture as part of the government program."
