     Information / Baghdad
Independent politician Abdullah Khaled confirmed, on Monday, the intention of the Sunni political forces to resume the dialogue on the dismissal of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, after the local elections.

Khaled said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “Most Sunni political forces support the option of changing Al-Halbousi, but the imminent holding of the provincial council elections and the entry of these forces into separate lists will push them to postpone the change movement until after the results are announced.”
He added, "The results of the provincial council elections directly decide Al-Halbousi's fate," pointing out that "all expectations confirm that progress will not achieve the results of the 2021 elections, and his chances in most governorates are difficult and complicated, and this explains his current rounds to gain votes."
He pointed out that "Al-Halbousi realizes that the provincial council elections are another test for him, and if his party fails to achieve convincing results, this will be the beginning of real change."
Many Sunni forces in Parliament had publicly declared their desire to change Al-Halbousi and put forward several candidates. End of 25 February
