    Baghdad today - Baghdad
The Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, one of the armed factions in Iraq, announced today, Saturday (October 14, 2023), its readiness to enter the Gaza war and confront the Israeli forces.
The Brigades spokesman, Kazem al-Fartusi, told Baghdad Today, “The Iraqi factions are ready to enter the Gaza war, and this matter is not media, but real, and we are fully prepared to fight this fateful war for the Islamic nation.”
He stressed, "The participation of the Iraqi factions in the Gaza war depends on two things. The first is the need of the Palestinian resistance for the Iraqi factions, and we are ready to respond to this call. The other matter is the direct participation of the United States of America in this war, so that we also have direct access, and we are monitoring everything." Events and developments.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq, Abu Hussein Al-Hamidawi, confirmed in a press statement that “the legal duty necessitates our presence in the field, to repel the evils of the enemies.”
While the Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, said in a post on the “X” platform, that “his movement is closely monitoring the events, prepared and not watching.”
It is noteworthy that the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, after the launch of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation last Saturday, expressed his thanks to “the authentic Iraqi people for their position,” stressing that “the attention of the Palestinian people and the resistance is directed to them in this sensitive, important, and critical historical circumstance.”
Yesterday, Friday, the capital, Baghdad, witnessed a million-man demonstration, in response to the call of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to “support” the Palestinian people, and to demand an end to the Israeli siege on Gaza and an end to the ongoing violations that have targeted civilians in the Strip.
