Today, Sunday, the Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Benkin Rekani, revealed a trend that will contribute to reducing real estate prices in the capital, Baghdad, and the rest of the governorates.
Rekani said, in a press conference, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that “a year after the formation of the government, the ministry is currently implementing 306 projects, most of which are in the road sector.”
He pointed out that "the government has adopted the housing and roads sectors, which are the most important for achieving services," stressing that "the Ministry is continuing to achieve these adoptions."
Rekani added, "The package to reduce traffic congestion, if completed, will relieve 80% of congestion."
He continued, "The Ministry is aiming to create new residential cities, not neighborhoods, to solve the housing crisis, in line with the needs of those with limited incomes, and will contribute to reducing real estate prices in Baghdad and the rest of the provinces," stressing, "We are working as one team within this government and among all ministries and institutions in order to Traffic congestion relief project.
