Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee called on the government to take civil measures regarding military violations and the water issue.
Committee member Haider Al-Salami said that the violation of sovereignty is the same, whether in military attacks or the water issue. Our sovereignty is indivisible and we demand respect for sovereignty from everyone.
He pointed out the committee's objection to the Turkish attacks on northern Iraq, and we object to the Kuwaiti encroachments on territorial waters and all of these matters, calling on the government to take decisive measures regarding the violations.
Al-Salami added that the government is supposed to submit a memorandum through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to object to the American attacks, and that one denunciation is not enough.
He demanded that there be actual measures, not statements, and that they should be taken into account in a position of weakness regarding American violations of Iraqi sovereignty.
The Popular Mobilization Forces announced the martyrdom of 8 of its members and the injury of 4 others in the treacherous American attacks at dawn on Wednesday, which included the Jazeera Operations Command within the Jurf al-Nasr sector, north of Babylon.
