{Economic: Al-Furat News} An economic expert ruled out an increase in the prices of goods and foodstuffs during the New Year holidays.
Salah Nouri told {Al-Furat News} agency, “There are expectations of an increase in prices for goods and materials during the days of the New Year’s holidays, and we do not believe in the case of basic foodstuffs, because the New Year’s holidays are short in duration, not like the blessed month of Ramadan or the Husseini rituals, peace be upon him.”
He added, "The focus on this occasion will be on luxury goods related to celebrations."
