The Parliamentary Legal Committee confirmed, on Thursday, that the draft law on the employee salary scale is still with the Council of Ministers, stressing the need to expedite sending the draft to the House of Representatives.
Committee member Raed Al-Maliki said in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, “The Legal Committee called on the government to send a draft law amending the employee salary scale to the House of Representatives in order to proceed with its legislation during the next stage.”
He added, "Most employees in various ministries are waiting for the approval of the new salary scale law to achieve social justice," pointing out that "Parliament has not yet received any project related to the salary scale."
