Nearly 10 million Iraqi citizens are preoccupied with the issue of the deadline set by the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, which includes considering the unified card as the “sole official document,” starting from the first of next March, as there are many interpretations that citizens have understood of this deadline.

The misunderstanding prompted many citizens to rush and head in "hordes" to the civil status departments in the Iraqi governorates, and caused scenes to deviate from the enormous momentum in the civil status departments, which prompted the Interior Ministry to clarify that the issuance of the national card will continue and will not stop at the first of the day. March.

It seems that many Iraqis understood that the first of March is the “last deadline” for obtaining the national card, but the truth is not so, as there is no deadline to stop the extraction of the unified national card and it is continuing, and paper citizenship will not be dropped on the first of March as many think, but rather It will be effective and reliable.

    So what's the story?

The real story of the procedure is that anyone who has transactions with state departments will not be able to conduct his transactions or reviews after March 1, unless he has a unified card. This means that paper nationality exists as a form of proof of identity that can be used whether in checks or any other procedure. .

This means that only those who have a transaction or review that will continue until the month of March, or whose review and treatment will begin in March or after, will have to obtain the unified card. As for those who do not have a transaction soon, they do not need to obtain the unified card now and crowd with crowds of crowded citizens. In civil status departments.

The number of unified cards issued so far amounts to 34 million cards, out of approximately 44 million Iraqis who represent the total number of people.

The crowding and crowding at the Civil Status Departments caused the prices of the electronic reservation form at the “Al-Ardhahaljiya” to rise from 25 to more than 80 thousand Iraqi dinars, due to the crowding and great demand.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior suggests that it may extend the deadline to a new date, especially if the results show that it is not possible to implement this deadline in this short time, with only 32 days remaining.
