A member of the House of Representatives confirmed today, Sunday, that if the Federal Court decides to cancel the session to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives, things will return to the beginning.
Representative Muhammad Saadoun said in a press statement: The political movement is currently at a standstill regarding the issue, as everyone is waiting for the Federal Court’s decision.
He added that if the court decides that the session is invalid, then new candidates will be presented, and Shaalan Al-Karim will not be nominated again.
He continued, talking about any names to assume the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives has been postponed until the Federal Court decides on the matter.
