    [rtl]The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced, on Friday, that there is no reduction in gasoline prices, as its prices are subsidized and are not equal to 50% of its production cost. This came with the announcement of the start of trial operation of the Azmara units in the Basra and Doura refineries.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The Undersecretary for Refining Affairs, Hamid Younis, said: “The Ministry is working on completing multiple projects with the aim of raising the quality of products, including the FCC project in the Basra Refinery,” noting that “the completion rate has reached 76%.” According to the Iraqi News Agency.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, "The isomerization units have been completed in the Basra and Doura refineries and are now in the phase of trial operation and introduction of the catalyst," and that this will raise the quality of petroleum products.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Younis pointed out that there are other projects under implementation, which are introducing hydrogenation units and improving gasoline in refineries in the governorates,” explaining, “The Ministry is working to increase the capacity of small refineries and introduce hydrogenation and improvement units for gasoline.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]He stressed that all products are subject to quality control and are analyzed within Iraqi standard specifications.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Younis pointed out that any entity that consumes fuel and receives it from refineries can take samples from laboratory analysis and conform them to the specifications when quantities of this substance are loaded.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Younis said: “There is no reduction in gasoline prices, explaining that the price of improved gasoline, for example, is 650 dinars per liter and it is subsidized and is not equal to 30% of international prices or 50% of its production cost, as its production cost is much higher than its value at which it is sold.”[/rtl]
