The Sunni forces continue the struggle for the position of Speaker of Parliament to succeed Muhammad al-Halbousi, who was expelled by a judicial order, in view of the latter’s intransigence in nominating a figure exclusively from the Taqaddam Party, with the movement of the other political blocs of the component that announced the formation of a tripartite alliance that includes (Determination, Decisiveness, and Sovereignty) , who announced their candidate, Salem Al-Issawi.
According to observers, the decision will be in the hands of the forces of the coordination framework, which will not repeat the ball by electing Al-Halbousi’s candidate, around whom there are many suspicions, amid hints that Al-Issawi will pass on the one hand and the impact of Sudanese intervention in resolving the crisis on the other hand.

*Framework vote
Speaking about this file, member of the House of Representatives, Thaer Mohaif, comments on the fact that the Sunni forces have not decided on the position of presidency of the House of Representatives so far, while he confirmed that the coordination framework will tend to vote for Salem Al-Issawi to ensure the stability of political science.
Makhif said in an interview, “We rule out the agreement of all Sunni blocs on one person after the recent meetings and alliances that nominated Al-Issawi for the position,” noting that “the Federal Court decided the inability to add another candidate to the names that announced their candidacy in the session that was held for voting.”
He continues, “The nomination of the Karim Shaalan Taqaddam Party will not be passed, given the numerous cases in which he is accused before the members of the House of Representatives and the Iraqi people,” pointing out that “the three Sunni blocs (Sovereignty, Determination, and National Resolution) agreed to nominate Representative Salem Al-Issawi for the position of Speaker of Parliament.” It will facilitate framework voting
Because I coordinated with him to end the presidential file.”
His statement concludes frighteningly: “The failure of the Taqadum Party to join the tripartite alliance confirms the party’s lack of conviction in Al-Issawi, and its attempt to cling to their candidate,” adding that “the framework will tend to vote for Salem Al-Issawi in order to ensure the stability of political science.”

*The candidate of the tripartite alliance
In addition, the leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Abdul Wahab Al-Bilawi, and the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, disrupted the vote on a new speaker of Parliament, calling on the Coordination Framework blocs not to vote on the candidate of the Taqadum Party.
Al-Bilawi said, in an interview, “The head of the Taqadum Party is accused of corruption deals, crimes against honor, and perjury. So what will his next candidate be?”, noting that “the file of the Taqadum Party’s dealings with the Israeli company has not been resolved yet.”
He continues, “All Sunni political blocs agreed not to vote on the candidate of the Taqaddum Party, and to pass the candidate that was presented and unanimously agreed upon,” adding that “not voting on the candidate for the new Speaker of Parliament is the biggest problem facing the political process at the present time.”
He points out that “voting for the Taqadum Party candidate will have major repercussions on the next political stage,” adding that “the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, continues to obstruct voting on a new Speaker of Parliament in order to decide the position in favor of his Taqadum Party.”
Last week, the Sunni forces in Parliament, “Sovereignty, Determination and Decisiveness,” announced their alliance and the formation of the Sunni parliamentary majority at the expense of the “Taqaddum” party led by the expelled Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, in addition to the intervention of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sawadni, who proposed three points to the conflicting political forces. The position will be decided in the upcoming sessions, according to sources. Ended 25/J
