The framework pressures did not succeed in bringing the Sunni blocs to an agreement that would settle the choice

The pressures exerted by the framework on the Sunni blocs did not succeed in choosing a single candidate for the presidency, which was supposed to be decided at the end of last week. The reason, as attributed by representatives, is the continuing differences between the conflicting parties to win the position.

Sunni bloc MPs did not hide the existence of a political atmosphere that is pressuring to resolve the issue, stressing that the doors are closed to amending Article Twelve, and the choice will be limited to the current candidates.

According to parliamentary sources, the Coordination Framework imposed a final deadline for the Sunni blocs to resolve their issue, but this deadline is not the first, and therefore resolving the presidency file is now shrouded in mystery amidst speculation that Mandalawi may remain until the end of the current session.
