The Prime Minister’s Media Office revealed today, Sunday, the most prominent projects of the third phase of infrastructure development work in the city district in Basra Governorate, which was launched by Council President Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani on Sunday morning.
The office said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, that the most prominent projects of the third phase are implementing sewage and rainwater network works, constructing main streets, extending drinking water pipes to serve the seven largest residential neighborhoods in the district, and implementing and modernizing the electrical power distribution and communications network. He pointed out the establishment of a medical city in the name of the martyr Ezzedine Selim, which
includes: a 100-bed hospital, an advanced center for the treatment of cancer diseases, a thalassemia and blood diseases center with a capacity of 50 beds, a dialysis center, and the establishment of 3 model health centers for primary care to serve the residents of the district and its environs.
