    Information / Baghdad..
The leader of the Al-Hasam Alliance, Laith Al-Dulaimi, confirmed on Sunday the presence of 41 Sunni representatives, including members of Taqadum, who support Salem Al-Issawi for the presidency of Parliament, while indicating the political consensus heading towards ending Al-Halbousi’s influence.

Al-Dulaimi said in an interview followed by “Al-Maalouma” that, “Presidency of Parliament is the entitlement of a constituent, not a political party, and that the Sunni leaders unanimously agreed to choose Salem Al-Issawi as Speaker of Parliament with the support of 36 deputies, in addition to 5 deputies from the front who signed their support for Al-Issawi.”
He pointed out that "the Sunni consensus is directed towards supporting Salem Al-Issawi for the presidency of Parliament and ending the political influence of Muhammad Al-Halbousi."
The Federal Supreme Court had decided, earlier, to terminate the membership of the ousted Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, based on a forgery lawsuit filed by Representative Laith al-Dulaimi. Ended/25
