The head of the Security Media Cell, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, revealed on Wednesday a “quantitative shift” in the Iraqi air defense system, while indicating that this file is awaiting the provision of financial allocations.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Khafaji said, “The Air Defense Command, with the support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, is working to develop its weapons, especially since it possesses advanced systems in the field of radars and the (Pansir S1) system.”[/size]
[size=45]He added, “There is great support for the development of the air defense system, and this year will witness a qualitative leap for the system, especially as it is making a great effort to protect vital targets inside the country,” expressing his hope to “develop this system through the release of financial allocations.”[/size]
