Al-Batikh said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad issued directives requiring an increase in the benefit amounts from five million to ten million dollars for the governorate,” noting that “by increasing these amounts, important projects will be implemented in Wasit is among the benefits.”
Al-Batikh added, “The Minister of Oil also directed the return of work in the 50-bed hospitals within the amounts of social benefits, the most important of which are in Al-Ahrar and a number of districts,” noting that “increasing the amounts of social benefits will have a significant impact on rebuilding and establishing these hospitals to serve the citizens of the districts and districts.” ".
He continued, "The Wasit government proposed to Minister Al-Sawad to proceed with transferring the previous cumulative amounts of benefits to benefit from them," explaining that "the Minister of Oil agreed to this and directed the Wasit Oil Company to remove all obstacles to the referral of social benefit projects."
Watermelon expressed his hope that "the Minister's directives will proceed with implementation, especially with a clear direction for the Ministry of Oil to serve the governorate and its citizens through the implementation of important projects within the framework of social benefits."
Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad arrived on Thursday last week to Wasit Governorate at the head of a ministerial delegation and met with the local governorate government, in addition to a visit in which Baghdad Al-Youm accompanied him to the Al-Ahdab oil field in the governorate.

Abdul-Ghani said during a conference held in Basra Governorate earlier that this increase in allocations for social benefits came against the backdrop of a request submitted by the ministry to the central government, which will enable it to be used to create real infrastructure projects and not patchwork, indicating that the disbursement of these amounts will be subject to oversight.
