Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani agreed during his meeting, today, Tuesday, in Washington, which he is currently visiting, with the American company “General Dynamics”, on the imminent launch of initiatives to develop Iraqi military capabilities.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Sudani's office said in a statement that the latter received this evening, (Baghdad time), at his residence in Washington, DC, a delegation from General Dynamics, which is one of the largest American companies that manufacture weapons and military equipment.[/size]
[size=45]The statement added that, during the meeting, cooperation with the company was discussed, within the framework of the government’s efforts and steps towards rebuilding its military capabilities in the field of tank and armored weapons, as well as cooperation to complete a large workshop for the maintenance and development of tanks. To make it compatible with the Iraqi fields and atmosphere, it was also agreed to launch a group of initiatives with this company in the near future, which comes within the government’s plans to develop the military institution and support it with various types of modern weapons.[/size]

[size=45]During the meeting, Biden affirmed his country's commitment to protecting its interests and the interests of its partners in the Middle East region, and its determination to spare the region the risks of escalation.[/size]
