    [size=45]Minister of Communications, Hayam Al-Yasiri, confirmed that the fiber optic project will be an alternative to WiFi towers in Basra, while she indicated work on a project to land a third submarine cable at Al-Faw Marine Station.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Yasiri stated in a statement, “The FTTH fiber optic project will be an alternative to the WiFi tower projects in Basra,” indicating that “Optical fiber will be new landline phone projects in the future.”[/size]
    [size=45]She added, “It was agreed to cooperate between the Ministry of Communications and Basra Governorate in the field of automation and digital transformation,” noting that “there are a group of projects for Basra Governorate, including a regional commercial data center project and transit projects.”[/size]
