    Today, Saturday, an American report revealed important details related to the Barzani family’s relationship with the United States of America, indicating that America takes the region as a starting point for monitoring countries in the region that oppose its policies.

    The report prepared by the Middle East Forum website, and written by the famous American journalist Michael Rowen, confirmed that the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, holds a 20-year residency card in the United States.
    The report, translated by the Maalouma Agency, stated that members of the Barzani family, most notably Masrour and his father Masoud Barzani, are facing a lawsuit filed by dissident Mekki Revind and the Kurdistan Victims Fund in the US District Court for the District of Columbia related to crimes of murder, kidnapping, forgery, and extortion.
    He pointed out that "the defense of the Kurdistan Victims Fund obtained a copy of Masrour's green card, which showed that he had obtained permanent residency in the United States for two decades."
    He explained, "Masrour may believe that his security partnership with America will protect him from the crimes included in the case list, and then he will be wrong," indicating that Masrour was the advisor to the National Security Council in the region, a position that was in regular contact with the CIA. 
    He pointed out, "Masrour and his younger brother, Wissi, were in charge of special units of the Peshmerga and the intelligence service that ostensibly worked alongside the Americans to combat terrorism, but in reality they were militias working to eliminate competitors."
    He revealed that the CIA was paying Masrour money for his services.
    He stated, “The main reason for the Americans’ embrace of the region’s leaders has nothing to do with moral motives as much as it has to do with the Barazans allowing American forces and intelligence agencies to operate in their region.” Ended/25 Z
