Today, Wednesday (June 12, 2024), the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, ratified the Iraqi National Security Service Law.
The Information Office of the President of the Republic stated in a brief statement, received by "Baghdad Today", that the President "ratified the law of the Iraqi National Security Service."
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives voted on Thursday (May 9, 2024) on the draft law on the Iraqi National Security Service .
The Media Department of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “the House of Representatives voted on the draft law on the Iraqi National Security Service,” noting that “the draft law on the Ninth Amendment to the Law of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 40 of 1988 was also voted on.” ".
She pointed out that "Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi directed the formation of a parliamentary committee to follow up and investigate the facts of the fire incident in the city of Erbil."
