Anbar Governor's Advisor for Energy Affairs, Aziz Khalaf Al-Tarmouz, announced today, Thursday, that the Ukrainian company has initiated the project to develop the Akkas gas field in the western Anbar regions.
Al-Tarmouz told Al-Ma’louma Agency, “A delegation from the Central Oil Company reviewed with a delegation of Ukrainian companies the devices and equipment for the Akkas gas field in the company’s warehouses to begin the process of developing the field in Al-Qaim Gharbi district.”
He added, "All equipment will be carefully re-inspected before being transported to the work site to ensure its readiness."
He explained, "The plan will be in two stages, the first with a capacity of 100 megawatts per day, while the second stage will have a peak production capacity of 400 megawatts."
He continued, "The gaseous fuel will be provided to operate the Akkas power station at its full designed capacity, and the Anbar complex station is under construction." Ended / 12A
