Two simulations in 181 polling stations in the Kurdistan Region

The Independent High Electoral Commission will conduct two simulations of the electoral process in (181) stations next August, while it will conduct a test of the transmission medium next October.
The Director of the Operations and Information Technology Department and Head of the Central Simulation Committee at the Independent High Electoral Commission, Walid Khalid Abbas, told Al-Sabah: The Commission will conduct two simulations of the test on August 12 and 25 in 181 polling stations, distributed as follows: (53) for general voting and (3) stations for special voting in Erbil, in addition to (41) stations for the general voting and two stations for special voting in Dohuk.
He added that in Sulaymaniyah Governorate there will be (74) stations for the general voting and two stations for special voting, while there will be (5) stations for the general voting and one station for special voting in Halabja, indicating that the aim of the process is to test the effectiveness of the results acceleration and verification devices in preparation for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections scheduled to take place next October.
Abbas added that the Commission's staff will conduct a test of the transmission medium on September 10, which transmits the results from the polling stations to the servers, describing it as "very secure" and absolutely inaccessible.
