    Economy News - Baghdad
The Immigration and Displacement Branch in Salah al-Din Governorate announced on Tuesday the return of 1,800 families from Ashti camp to their original areas in the governorate, while indicating that there is ministerial coordination to include the returnees in social care and provide the ration card.
The branch manager, Khaled Mahjoub Jassim, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "Ashti camp, the last camp in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, was closed, which was home to 1,800 families from Salah al-Din Governorate, most of whom are from the Al-Buhashima tribe in the south of the governorate."

He added that "the displaced people returned to their original areas in Balad District, Yathrib Zour Al-Buhashima District, Al-Dujayl Al-Shahabi and Al-Ajiliyya Districts, and Al-Rafa'iya and Al-Jam'iya areas," indicating that "the Ministry of Migration and Displacement is responsible for transporting the displaced families to their original areas of residence."

He pointed out that "the returning families received a grant of 4 million dinars and electrical appliances, including a refrigerator, plasma screen and a cooker."

Regarding the role played by Migration and Displacement in Salah al-Din Governorate in helping the returning families, he indicated that "relief aid was provided to these families, according to the directives of the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq, for the purpose of distributing it periodically until they settle down."

He pointed out that "there is coordination with the Social Welfare Department to include returning families in social welfare salaries, in addition to coordination with the Ministry of Trade to provide ration cards for these families."

He continued, "Coordination has been made with the Salah al-Din Governorate Government to provide services to the return areas, including water, electricity, education and health, in accordance with the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and with the follow-up and supervision of the Minister of Migration and Displacement."

Last Thursday, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq, announced the closure of Ashti camp after the departure of the last displaced Iraqi families from it.
