    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
Today, Monday (July 22, 2024), the Council of Ministers for Economy issued a number of decisions regarding the food basket and imported construction materials.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired the meeting of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, during which it was recommended to the Council of Ministers to postpone the collection of customs duties for the food basket (ration card) imported in the name of the Ministry of Trade in support of the citizen's food security."
He added that "the Council decided to include construction materials imported by investment companies in the pre-inspection procedures."
