The Nineveh Water Directorate referred projects to provide drinking water in areas west of Mosul. The Director of Nineveh Water, Mu’ayyad Elias, told Al-Sabah: “After obstacles that lasted for more than two years, his directorate referred a project to rehabilitate, expand and provide water within Tal Zalat and two drains within the Al-Buwair Water Project west of Mosul at a cost of 12 billion dinars, stressing that water services in the governorate will witness a significant improvement in the coming days. In the same context, the Director of the Red Crescent Society, Haider Hussein Al-Jawady, told Al-Sabah that the society has begun installing two water desalination plants in areas suffering from water scarcity in Maysan, within the Al-Kumait District and the Al-Mashrah Sub-district.
