     Information/Baghdad
MP Yasser Al-Hussaini confirmed on Wednesday that the general amnesty law was not passed by the Iraqi Parliament.
Al-Husseini told Al-Maalouma, "The amendment to the general amnesty law stipulated renaming affiliation with ISIS, meaning there is no general amnesty as some are promoting. He stressed that the amendment is dangerous and serves a specific group that carries a bloody ideology that does not recognize state institutions."
He suggested that "the amendments to the general amnesty should include minor misdemeanors, administrative and traffic violations, but will not include those who have violated public funds, murder, or drug trafficking."
He stressed that "the amendment does not serve society and will have dire consequences in terms of security, and this is what prompts us to reject the current amendments."
It is noteworthy that several political forces are pressing for the approval of the general amnesty law, despite its danger. End 25 F
