Our country enjoys suitable conditions and a charming nature for the establishment of promising systematic plans for raising livestock, in light of measures to encourage local investors to develop this wealth that generates production in various types of benefits and achieves high financial returns in the short and long term, in addition to being an important tributary to the products that local markets need, as they are constantly required needs for the consumer and a profitable trade that is not subject to recession or extinction, especially after the government movement indicated effective sectoral development through the relevant authorities and important facilities and incentives for workers in the private sector concerned with this wealth and other exceptions for those working in it with various types of support to achieve pioneering development in this field.
It is necessary to point out that livestock in Iraq has the advantages and characteristics that make it a permanent economy with multiple areas of investment between breeding projects, then generation and multiplication, especially those of rare breeds, because our country is rich in animals such as livestock and wild birds of excellent species and others, then the process of selling them in addition to projects to develop their products such as eggs, milk, hides and other benefits that fall into secondary fields such as industry, for example, at a time when the Ministry of Commerce announced the signing of a contract with the Ministry of Agriculture Represented by the General Company for Grain Manufacturing, to provide the breeders of this wealth with bran (flour waste) as feed for their animals for free.
These procedures are based on well-studied plans aimed at supporting livestock breeders by distributing mill waste to them without financial compensation, which greatly reduces the cost of their projects and achieves integrated production of this wealth after Iraq was exposed to drought over the past years, which led to a decline in the productivity of this important sector in the country, as well as other procedures that serve the interests of those working in it through the Ministry of Trade’s cooperation with farmers interested in raising animals in addition to agriculture to provide them with this material of great nutritional value as high-quality feed for the various animals they raise on their farms. Here, it is necessary to emphasize the importance of raising animals because it constitutes one of the tributaries of comprehensive national development and benefit from it in various fields such as fattening calves and increasing their numbers with other types of animals and implementing an intensive feeding plan for them and benefiting from their red meat so that they also have good nutritional value and are offered in local markets. Such procedures require administrative and technical follow-ups that are extremely accurate and continuous to provide feed rich in minerals and vitamins. It must also be said that investment projects in this sector and the government’s supportive movement must be reflected in the dealings of these investors or beneficiaries of these procedures that the relevant authorities are working to implement. And dealing seriously and the necessity of having experienced and professional workers, good intentions from them, continuous work and efforts that give these projects their right to development and support the national economy with additional support elements to obtain high returns from production and achieve the feasibility of each project and create strong links between the relevant official bodies and these investors to facilitate procedures for them and remove everything that hinders the implementation of each project and the achievement of the desired goals from it.
