The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq refuted the news that talked about adding 30,000 employees to the payroll sent to Baghdad, and described it as “news that is far from the truth.”
The Ministry said in a press statement that “the total number of employees on the list for the month of July (civilians, military, and retirees) reached (1,132,390) one million one hundred and thirty-two thousand and three hundred and ninety people, while the total number of employees in the month of June reached: (1,132,967) one million one hundred and thirty-two thousand.” Nine hundred and sixty-seven people,” noting that the list “to which the Federal Ministry of Finance sent the salaries after the audit, which shows that the salary list for the month (7) is 577 fewer than the list of names of government and military employees who retired in June, but their names were not included in the list.” Retired due to incomplete transactions.
The Ministry stated that “the total salaries of Kurdistan Regional Government employees for the month of July (7) after deducting retirement, taxes, budget deductions, and settling the salaries of retirees is (54,208,000,000) fifty-four billion, two hundred and eight million dinars out of (956,876,000,000) fifty-six million dinars, which is close to the funding of the previous months.” Spent by the Federal Ministry of Finance after auditing the financing.”
She stressed that "when these lies are repeated, the misleading party must expect prosecution and the law, and we consider it our right to file a legal complaint against any person or entity that publishes false news and information."[/rtl]
