    The Supreme Judicial Council announced, today, Monday (September 23, 2024), the completion of the comments regarding the draft arbitration law, its objectives, provisions and applications.
    The media center of the Judicial Council stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "the discussion of the draft arbitration law with all its articles has been completed, and the outcomes of the workshop will be submitted to the House of Representatives to be taken into consideration when discussing the draft law and voting on it."
    He added that "the Judicial Development Institute organized three workshops to discuss the arbitration law, in which the Vice President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Judge Kazem Abbas, discussed the draft of this law with a number of judges in the Judicial Supervision Authority, judges of the courts of first instance specialized in commercial lawsuits, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center, and members of the Legal Committee in the Council of Representatives, Muhammad Jassim and Muhammad Abdul Amir Anuz, in addition to the Vice President of the State Council, Abdul Latif Nayef, in addition to a representative of the University of Baghdad/College of Law, Akram Muhammad, and Ali Fawzi/advisor in the Prime Minister's Office."
