    The Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced today, Monday, the implementation of more than 5,000 service projects during the past five years at a total cost exceeding 4 trillion and 663 billion Iraqi dinars.[/size]
    [size=45]The ministry explained in a statement that most of these projects have been completed, while others are still under implementation and are expected to be completed in the near future.[/size]
    [size=45]According to the statement, the Kurdistan Regional Government implemented 5,044 service projects during the ninth cabinet, funded by the investment budget, the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism’s own revenues, regular and special budgets, in addition to support from some foreign organizations, universities and bodies.[/size]
    [size=45]As for the implemented projects, they were concentrated in several sectors, most notably the municipal sector, where 2,004 projects were implemented at a total cost of 2 trillion and 795 billion Iraqi dinars, including infrastructure and public services projects. 2,755 projects were also implemented in the water and sanitation sector at a total cost of 1 trillion and 785 billion Iraqi dinars to improve water networks and drainage systems in the region.[/size]
    [size=45]In the antiquities sector, 167 projects were implemented at a cost of 34 billion dinars to protect cultural heritage and develop archaeological sites. The government also allocated 118 projects to develop the tourism sector at a cost of 48 billion dinars to enhance tourism infrastructure and encourage investment in this vital sector.[/size]
    [size=45]The statement stressed that these projects reflect the efforts made by the Kurdistan Regional Government to improve the quality of services and infrastructure in various vital sectors of the region, as the government has attracted domestic and foreign investments to support these projects that aim to raise the standard of daily life for citizens.[/size]
