Official statistics: 25% of generators are committed to the pricing

Statistics revealed by the Baghdad Provincial Council showed that only (25) percent of private generator owners adhered to the official pricing within the first phase that was recently launched.
The head of the Oil and Gas Committee in the Council, Safaa Al-Mashhadani, explained to “Al-Sabah” that “the committee held a meeting with the Generators Syndicate, which is an unofficial body that includes a number of representatives of generator contractors, with the aim of establishing mechanisms and decisions related to their work in the capital, pursuant to a campaign launched to monitor the extent of commitment to the official pricing set by the Council for the current month of October.”
He pointed out that "an agreement was reached to set a fine of (5) million dinars against the contractor who owns a share of (kerosene) and does not adhere to the official pricing, and two million dinars against those who do not have a share, in addition to obligating the administrative units to submit monthly reports on the prices.
