6,000 beds added to Nineveh hospitals

The Nineveh local government announced that six thousand beds will enter service in the governorate’s hospitals by 2026, as part of a plan it has prepared to advance the health sector in the governorate.
Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil said in a statement to Al-Sabah: The local government is waiting for the opening of a large number of health institutions, many of which have reached completion rates of between 85 and 90 percent, including the large oncology hospital inside the city of Mosul, stressing that 2025 will be the year of completion of all health institutions in the governorate.
He explained that the local government focused on health sector projects, by adopting an integrated work plan that will work to complete six thousand beds by 2026, noting that the Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital is a vital hospital that contains three linear accelerators and its completion rates have exceeded 78 percent, and there are other hospitals that will open within the next two months.
