Member of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Resources Committee, Sabah Sobhi, expected on Monday that the law would be passed during the current parliamentary session, noting that the law requires a political agreement.
Sobhi told /Al-Maalouma/ agency that "discussions are ongoing between the center and the region, as well as the oil-producing provinces, in order to legislate the oil and gas law."
He added that "the oil and gas law, which is one of the most important provisions of the State Administration Coalition agreement," noting that "the law requires a political agreement before proceeding with its legislation."
He continued that "the dialogues are ongoing to find solutions to the most prominent points of contention, with expectations that the law will be passed during the current parliamentary session." End / 25 H
